161th meeting of the Council was held in March 2006. Some of the important issues on the agenda of the meeting were as under:
- Discussion/deliberation on Legal Committee's Report regarding Hudood Ordinance.
- Review and discussion on Report of 2nd meeting (10-11th May 2006) of Economics Committee.
- Publication of Hudood Ordinance Report.
- Preparation of draft Islamic covenant against Racial Discrimination:
Deliberation on the draft opinion of Dr. Justice (retired) Munir Ahmad Mughal.
