158th meeting of the Council was held on 27-28th September 2005. Some of the important issues on the agenda of the meeting were as under:
- Deduction of Zakat out of Gratuity Fund Trust.
- Permissibility of Ijara Sukah Issued by the State Bank of Pakistan
- Charity based business through lottery competition-The Islamic point of view.
- World Bank Mission Report regarding Zakat and Bait-ul-Mall system of Pakistan-Council's views.
- Adoption of Pakistani children-a reference by Embassy of Pakistan, Vienna.
Besides, progress on Council's Research / Publications and other projects was also discussed and deliberated on.
