1. STATUS REPORTS:Analytical surveys of recent research, views, fatawa, and studies on current issues, e.g. Riba, Islamic Banking, Hudud, Education (Madaris), Human rights etc.and other issues under consideration of the Council. Status Reports as Research notes are amied to assist the members of the Council to formulate their recommendations.

   2. Ahkam Shari'at: The Council plans to compile a source book Ahkam-i Shari'at, collecting relevant verses from the Qur'an, Ahadith and Fiqh (both Sunni and Shi'a) sources on the basic legal subjects for the lawmakers. One part of the book, Maqasid-i Shari'at, will provide a brief introduction to the principles of Islamic legal interpretation.
